David Moyes and Everton came to an Albion side who were on a good run and suffocated them with a barely watchable 1-0 win.

It was settled by a penalty and ended with a scuffle on the pitch. And, fittingly, it rained.

The narrative could be trotted out: A Moyes masterclass against the rookie Prem head coach Fabian Hurzeler.

Now look who is coming to the Amex to cap a week when there have been storm clouds in more ways than one.

Low block, fast counters, wily old boss, in-form striker, physical edge, under-rated.

Everything says Everton are the type of opponent Albion do not enjoy playing at home.

But a win would be timely at the end of a week which, largely down to an unfortunate and wasteful defeat at Fulham, has had the social platforms buzzing with debate over Hurzeler.

Let’s be clear. The complaints are not only because of Fulham but events there certainly added fuel to smouldering flames.

The mood would have been very different had a few moments gone differently at Craven Cottage. But for how long?...
