Fellow defender Anders Hagelskjaer also missed Saturday's 1-1 draw at Blackpool after having to drop out of training.

"Andreas is struggling with an Achilles. He's not fully fit and we need to try and get him right," Duff said.

The game against Blackpool was interrupted for several minutes by an injury to Blackpool skipper Michael Ihiekwe, who was stretchered off.

"Being a centre-half, he jumped that high, he almost jumped over Junior (Quitirna) - his leg caught Junior's head which spun him around and it looks like he landed horribly," Duff added.

"Nobody wants to see that, nobody wants to see anyone stretchered off in any game of football. He's a competitor, he's been a very good player and is captain for them as well, so we wish him all the best for a speedy recovery."
