Second-half goals from Jodi Jones and Alassana Jatta gave Notts County their first league win in five games with a 2-1 victory at 10-man Crawley.

Struggling Crawley made six changes, boss Scott Lindsey having made 10 signings so far in January, but Klaidi Lolos was sent off as their winless league run was extended to 11 matches.

Notts keeper James Belshaw, brought in for his debut having been signed from Harrogate, produced a fine double save to keep his new team on terms midway through the first half.

Belshaw kept out goal-bound attempts by Jonny Russell and Jay Williams, and Crawley keeper Harvey Davies did well to thwart ex-Red Devil Nick Tsaroulla just before the break.

Tsaroulla set up Jones nine minutes after the interval as Jones put Notts ahead in front of the travelling fans with an unstoppable angled shot into the far corner.

Crawley's task became harder when midfielder Lolos, on his return to the club, was shown a straight red card for an off-the-ball incident.

Jatta doubled the advantage nine minutes from time by firing in a corner by Matty Palmer at the far post.
