Few could have seen it coming at half-time. Everton were 1-0 up and cruising at home to a Wolves side who, while much improved of late, had shown exactly why they sat bottom of the Premier League and with just six points to their name.

But to their manager Rob Edwards' credit, his tactical tweaks improved his team after the restart and with Everton's performance regressing, impressive teenager Mateus Mane cancelled out Michael Keane's first-half opener with 21 minutes of normal time remaining.

And then that's when it all kicked-off. Firstly, Keane was sent off in the 83rd minute after a VAR check after it was deemed his pull on Tolu Arokodare's hair constituted violent conduct.
