Former Tottenham senior scout Mick Brown doubts the North London club would be able to convince one of their rumoured targets to join in January.

With Antoine Semenyo heading to Man City, Spurs are thought to be hoping to push through a deal for Marmoush, who is expected to be pushed further down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium.

Tottenham are expected to test the waters for Omar Marmoush, who is currently away at the African Cup of Nations.

Some sources have claimed that Man City are likely to sell one of their attackers once they bring Semenyo through the door, but the Lilywhites may face one big hurdle in landing the City forward.

Former Spurs and Man United scout Mick Brown, who remains well connected with industry sources, has now revealed that a move to N17 does not appeal to the former Eintracht Frankfurt man.

Even though the 26-year-old has made just two Premier League starts this term, he remains keen on fighting for his future at the Etihad Stadium.
