Chelsea were held to a shock 2-2 draw by Qarabag in Azerbaijan on Wednesday evening, with the visitors unable to secure a winning goal. Estevao Willian set Chelsea off in Baku with a superb finish after being assisted by his Brazilian compatriot Andrey Santos. However, Qarabag levelled the score later in the first half when Leandro Andrade capitalised on some sloppy defending to fire in the rebound after Camilo Duran hit the post.

Qarabag then took the lead shortly afterwards, with Marko Jankovic converting from the penalty spot after Jorrel Hato was deemed to have handled the ball in his own box. Early into the second half, Chelsea equalised thanks to Alejandro Garnacho, who made an immediate impact with one of his first touches.
