Liverpool made it back-to-back home wins in the Champions League after a 1-0 victory over Real Madrid on Tuesday night. Alexis Mac Allister's second-half header was enough for Arne Slot's side, who also beat Real's city-rivals Atletico in September at home.

The result moved the Reds up to sixth in the group stage of the competition ahead of Wednesday night's fixtures with Slot's Premier League champions next in action away at Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
