Trent Alexander-Arnold mural being cleaned after it was defaced

People living on a street in Anfield have woken up to see that part of their street has been vandalised. A total disgrace and something that people living on that street shouldn't have to deal with.

It's something that everyone should be angered about but there are some people who will see this as a good thing and a way of gaining traction on social media.

Why? Football tribalism. Trent Alexander-Arnold's departure angered a lot of Liverpool fans and towards the end of the title-winning season many voiced their opinion over how he left the club.

For the record, I am in the camp that those at Anfield should let Alexander-Arnold know how they feel about the nature of his departure and I hope Real Madrid has a terrible night this evening.

At the time, I wasn't disappointed about him leaving the club, but more around how he handled it.

On the morning of Real Madrid's visit to Anfield, social media posts showed that Trent Alexander-Arnold's mural near Anfield had been vandalised.
