Arsenal face off against Chelsea this weekend in the WSL and they can cut the gap to first place down to two points with a win on matchday eight.

Chelsea’s unbeaten run

Sonia Bompastor has had Chelsea in remarkable form since she joined the club in July 2024.

The French boss is still yet to lose a league game in England, with her team last losing in the WSL to Liverpool in May of last year.

It has now been 33 games since Chelsea lost in the league and they stand on the doorstep of history in their next two matches.

The longest unbeaten run in England is 34 games without a loss. Chelsea hold that record with a two-year period between 2019 and 2o21 when they went invincible in the WSL.

Having won six and drawn one this season, Chelsea are yet again on track for another invincible season in the WSL.

If they were to go the whole campaign without a loss the Blues could record a historic fourth invincible season and the first-ever back to back.
