Manchester United and Nottingham Forest shared the spoils after a thrilling 2-2 Premier League encounter at the City Ground on Saturday.

Casemiro fired United ahead with a thumping header but Forest came back strongly in the second half.

Within five minutes of the restart, Morgan Gibbs-White and Nicolo Savona turned the game around for the hosts.

A flash of brilliance from Amad Diallo in the 81st minute helped United rescue a point.

Diallo spoke glowingly about the influence of manager Ruben Amorim after the game.

He said (via Sky Sports): “I think we have confidence now. We believe in the manager and we believe in the system. Everyone is now focussed. We are training to do the best.

“We believe in the manager like he believes in us. Every game for us is like a final.

“We wanted to bring this team to the top level. We wanted to win this game and we are disappointed as a team.”

The Ivorian launched a passionate defence of Amorim after the intense pressure he has been under over the last year.
