The father of Rangers' striker Danilo joined the away fans at the Hibernian match on Wednesday night.

He was warmly embraced by the Rangers supporters at Easter Road.

The Brazilian forward's father celebrated with the travelling fans and sang along in the away end.

At the end of the 1-0 victory, he had an emotional embrace with his son.

Danilo explained that his father was "really thankful" for the Rangers fans' support.

The Brazilian footballer told RangersTV: "He was just really glad to be part of the Rangers team and the Rangers fans to celebrate the victory together.

"Since he was a kid, he said, he always liked to be part of it.

"So he sometimes does things that he doesn't even know what he's doing.

"That's the adrenaline that's inside of him.

"It just feels like a really warm welcome with the Rangers fans.

"He's really thankful for them.

"He never dreamed to experience those moments so he's really thankful."
