Liverpool making the decision to sign so many world-class players at once in the summer may have made Florian Wirtz worse this season.

Ever since the young German joined the Anfield outfit, nothing seems to have gone right for him.

Indeed, Liverpool still haven’t figured out the best way to use Wirtz yet, which hasn’t likely helped matters much, but the fact that they have so many players who want to be the best on the team is also concerning.

Alongside Wirtz, Alexander Isak, and Mohamed Salah are also trying to prove their worth each week, and with all three players competing against one another, it’s making it harder for them to shine.

And now, German legend Oliver Bierhoff has admitted that this could be one of the reasons why the 22-year-old hasn’t played as well as he can for the Anfield outfit yet.

Everybody knew that it was going to take some time for Liverpool to get the best out of their first-team squad this season.
