Journalist Dean Jones has revealed what Tottenham are thinking about their goalkeeping position and whether Marc-Andre ter Stegen is likely to arrive in North London in January.

Over recent weeks, we have heard reports that Spurs have explored a move for Barcelona number one Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

The German international is currently out injured, but it has been alleged that the La Liga giants are keen to get him off their wage bill in January.

According to reports, Chelsea are ready to challenge Spurs for the Barcelona goalkeeper, with the Blues said to be the front-runners for the 33-year-old.

Dean Jones has now revealed that while the Lilywhites are scouring the market for a goalkeeper, they are not actively looking to replace Guglielmo Vicario.

The journalist suggested that Stamford Bridge is thus the more likely destination for Ter Stegen than the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium during the upcoming transfer window.
