Vinicius Junior has apologised for his outburst during Sunday’s El Clasico after he was substituted by Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso with 18 minutes remaining. Real moved five points clear at the top of the La Liga table after overcoming Barcelona 2-1 at the Bernabeu.

Vinicius Junior has starred for Real since joining the club from Flamengo in 2018. The 25-year-old has bagged 111 goals and 87 assists in 335 appearances for the Spanish giants and found the back of the net in the 2022 and 2024 Champions League finals.
