Derby County Women return to FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division action on Wednesday when they welcome Stoke City Women to the Don Amott Arena (7.45pm kick-off).

The fixture will be the Ewes’ first league match in over two weeks after consecutive weekends of cup football against Real Bedford in the FA WNL Cup and Coventry Sphinx in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.

Sam Griffiths’ side face a quick turnaround following an emphatic 6-0 victory over Coventry Sphinx at the Cameron Slater Arena last Sunday, a result that booked their place in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup second round and a clash against Stockport County.

Going into Wednesday’s clash with Stoke, the Ewes sit ninth in the league table, level on points with their opponents.

Both teams have enjoyed an up-and-down start to their league campaign and will be aiming to build momentum with three points at the Don Amott, setting the stage for what should be an entertaining evening.
