Aston Villa head to Liverpool this weekend targeting another impressive result following their victory over Manchester City.

Villa have won six of their last seven matches, only failing to beat Go Ahead Eagles last week, which was wedged between a win at Tottenham and then City at Villa Park.

Opponents Liverpool, meanwhile, have lost five of their last six matches, including their last four in the Premier League.

Arne Slot’s Reds take on Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup at Anfield on Wednesday evening, so it will be interesting to see which players - if any - return from injury.

Liverpool were without six players for their match against Brentford last weekend, though Slot will be hoping to welcome a couple of players for the match against Villa.

Ryan Gravenberch twisted his ankle in their defeat against Manchester United, and then missed both games against Frankfurt and Brentford, though Slot was initially hopeful that he could have featured at the Gtech Community Stadium.
