Everton fans have been left fuming with how the Australian rugby league team described their Hill Dickinson Stadium on social media.

The Kangaroos are currently on tour in England in the rugby league version of the Ashes.

Australia won the first Test 26-6 at Wembley Stadium on Saturday and will now travel to Liverpool for their second match this weekend.

On Tuesday morning, they announced their starting XIII for the clash at Hill Dickinson Stadium, the home of Everton Football Club.

However, their official X account suggested that it belonged to their arch-rivals as they said the venue is 'Liverpool’s Hill Dickinson Stadium'.

Whilst the stadium is technically located in Liverpool, specifically at Bramley-Moore Dock, Everton fans were not happy with that label.
