Nick Woltemade has already filled the void at Newcastle United left by Alexander Isak - even though they are very different players.

The fact the German has adapted to life in the Premier League so quickly - and his United team-mates have adapted to his style of play just as rapidly - is impressive according to former Newcastle and Manchester United forward Louis Saha.

The Magpies faced the ominous task of replacing Isak this summer when he made it clear he wanted to leave Tyneside for Liverpool, wiith the club investing heavily in Woltemade and Yoane Wissa.

Woltemade arrived from Stuttgart for a club record £69m but made an instant impact, with five goals to his name already.

He has given Newcastle different options in their forward line, with the wingers and attacking midfielders learned to exploit the space he creates by dropping deep, while he has already proven to be a threat in the air.
