Botman was forced off in the second half of Saturday's win over Fulham after a head clash, and while there was no concussion, the centre-half did suffer a "nasty" cut.

Botman missed training on Monday and Howe was set to assess the defender on Tuesday before making a selection decision ahead of the visit of the Spurs for the fourth round tie.

Wednesday's game will come too soon for Lewis Hall, but the left-back is expected to be in contention to return to the squad for Sunday's Premier League trip to West Ham United.

Hall has been missing since the Champions League win over Union Saint-Gilloise with a hamstring problem.
