Tottenham legend Heung-min Son is being backed to make a temporary return to Europe at the end of the Major League Soccer season, and a journalist has now revealed if there is truth behind those rumours.

As expected, Son has made the MLS look too easy since his switch to LAFC, with the former Tottenham captain having managed nine goals and three assists in ten outings.

This has led to question marks over whether the 33-year-old still has a lot to offer at the elite level, and there have been some suggestions that he could return to N17 on loan when the MLS season ends in December.

However, two weeks ago, Football Asian dismissed the possibility out of hand, claiming that it is not logistically possible for Son to return to Spurs on loan, given his pre-season commitments.

Over recent days, some outlets have suggested that Son could consider joining AC Milan in a temporary deal during the off-season (ESPN).

However, the chances of such a deal happening have now been played down by journalist Matteo Moretto, who revealed on his YouTube channel that there is nothing concrete behind the rumours.
