Arsenal's quest for silverware this season is officially over after the Gunners lost 3-1 on aggregate to Paris Saint-Germain in the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League.

Fabián Ruiz's strike in the 27th minute gave the Parisians some vital breathing room. Achraf Hakimi added another in the 72nd minute, while Bukayo Saka notched a consolation goal for Arsenal four minutes later.

Between likely finishing second in the Premier League for the third straight year and advancing to the Champions League semifinals, a lot of Gooners will likely look back on 2024-25 and ponder what could've been.

Maybe Arsenal still would've come up short even if it had signed a natural striker last summer or in the January window. But the absence of a consistent finisher has been a recurring problem, and Wednesday night was no exception.

Just like in the first leg, Arsenal lacked a clinical edge in front of goal.

For Paris Saint-Germain, that long coveted UCL trophy is now just one victory away, and Inter Milan awaits in the final on May 31 at Munich's Allianz Arena.
