Mark Aldridge and Pippa Gilbert from Pip's Chips say the atmosphere is "indescribable"

Excitement is building ahead of Grimsby Town's match against Brentford later, as both teams battle for a place in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.

The Mariners will be playing the Premier League team in the Cup's fourth round at Blundell Park, Cleethorpes, at 19:45 GMT.

The League Two team beat Sheffield Wednesday in the third round after defeating Manchester United 12-11 on penalties following a 2-2 draw.

At a chip shop a stone throw from the club's stadium, co-owner Mark Aldridge said: "You can just feel everyone's happy. There's pride in the place. It's indescribable."

It has been 40 years since Grimsby Town last made it to the quarter-finals and, if they beat Brentford, it will be one of the most famous victories in the club's history.
