Gary Neville has given his updated views on Ruben Amorim after the Manchester United manager secured his third win in a row.

The Red Devils manager, who had to be given a vote of confidence by owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe just weeks ago, has been fighting for his job but seems to be finally overseeing a turnaround of sorts.

Neville has been critical of Amorim throughout his reign, saying he was 'very worried' for the Portuguese as recent as the start of this month.

Now, though, after United secured their third win in a row with a 4-2 victory over Brighton, Neville admitted things are on the up under the 40-year-old.

'The narrative coming into this game was that Manchester United couldn't take a step back after what happened at Anfield last week and the win today was absolutely crucial,' Neville said on Sky Sports. 'I think it has been Ruben Amorim's best and most important week in the job. I think it gives him a bit of time.
