Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on a player who has established himself as a regular part of the Juventus backline, but they could face competition from a Premier League rival.

Last week, Tottenham confirmed the return of Fabio Paratici in an official role, with the Italian set to work together with Johan Lagne as sporting director of the club.

According to reports, Paratici will focus mainly on the transfer windows and player recruitment, with the 53-year-old thus set to lead the Lilywhites’ plans in the January window.

There have already been suggestions that Paratici could look to raid his former club, Juventus, in January, and it has now emerged that a Bianconeri defender is on the Lilywhites’ radar.

This update comes from Tutto Juve, who claim that the versatile defender Pierre Kalulu is now on Spurs’ wishlist.

Kalulu joined Juve on loan from AC Milan last season before the Bianconeri took up the option to make the deal permanent in the recent summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old has become a mainstay on the side this season under Igor Tudor, who has used him as a right-back, a right-wing-back and as a central defender.
