Liverpool’s win over Eintracht Frankfurt was a perfect confidence boost, but there were still some issues in the team.

The third game in this Champions League campaign, fortunately, ended the four-game losing streak of the Reds in all competitions as they eventually cruised to a 5-1 victory over their German hosts.

It was a night to remember for many players, with some impeccable performances as Florian Wirtz finally registered two assists in the game, which will no doubt help him to kick on in his career at the club.

The German could have even had a goal on this night if it were not for Mohamed Salah’s decision to take on a shot rather than pass to his Liverpool teammate, who was wide open for a tap-in.

Salah has not been in form this season, with the Egyptian registering a lower goal tally than usual at this stage of the year, and coming off the bench in the European game, it was clear he was frustrated.
