Zan Vipotnik's sensational brace handed Swansea City an important win over Norwich City at the Swansea.com Stadium.

The Slovenian crashed home his seventh goal of the season to hand the hosts an early lead, before a combination of Norwich goalkeeper Vladan Kovacevic and the post denied Ronald.

The visitors, now winless in eight games, responded after that early pressure, and restored parity when Jovon Makama touched in just before half-time.

But Vipotnik sealed the points for Swansea midway through the second half, with another sensational strike from the edge of the area, much to the delight of boss Alan Sheehan.

The Swans head coach freely admitted he was facing up to his first 'sticky patch' as a manager, having overseen a run of just one win in seven league games.

This victory will ease some of the concerns around his side, and plunge opposite number Liam Manning into further uncertainty.
