Leeds United cannot afford to lose tonight's game for the sake of confidence and also table position. A defeat could well see them sink into the bottom three by the end of the weekend.

Two successive losses and just one point from three games is a run that cannot elongate ahead of a tricky period from Brighton next week onwards. West Ham United come to town with just one win in their first eight Premier League games.

They looked very poor in their 2-0 defeat to Brentford on Monday, though Daniel Farke says this might make them more determined to elevate their levels tonight as a result. Leeds, though, will have the force of Elland Road under the lights behind them.
