An armed gang burst into a woman's home and threated her with knives in a terrifying daylight attack in Leeds. When a man tried to help her, he was attacked and suffered serious injuries.

The hooded trio burst into the house in Torre Close and demanded money while threatening the woman who was cowering inside. It happened at 12.15pm on Saturday, August 12, of this year.

They had pulled up outside the house in a blue Skoda Fabia before running inside the property to execute their raid. As the woman was threatened, a man in his 50s tried to stop the attack but was seriously assaulted and the suspects, who were wearing blue, red and black coats with their hoods up, fled in their car.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment to the injuries which were not life threatening.
