Sheffield Wednesday have filed for administration amid the club's mounting financial issues.

The EFL had previously charged the club with multiple breaches of regulations after they failed to pay players' wages on time.

Wednesday, who sit bottom of the Championship, will receive an automatic points penalty for going into administration.

Derby County were the last EFL club to enter administration in 2021 and were deducted 12 points for doing so.
