Liverpool bounced back from their embarrassing defeat at home to Manchester United with a thumping 5-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt.

Arne Slot's side ended a run of four defeats in a row by thrashing the Bundesliga side away in Germany in the Champions League. And while it couldn't erase the pain of suffering their first loss to United at Anfield since 2016, it has renewed optimism ahead of the next fixture, away at Brentford back in the Premier League.

Despite shelling out £446m on players such as Florian Wirtz, Alexander Isak, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong, Giovanni Leoni and Hugo Ekitike in the summer, Reds manager Arne Slot has already had to tackle several challenges this season, from unlocking Wirtz and Isak's potential, to managing injuries to the likes of Alisson Becker and Italian defender Leoni.
