Enzo Maresca believes Estevao Willian will follow in the footsteps of Cole Palmer. The 18-year-old winger fired Chelsea to victory at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night, becoming the club's youngest player to score in the UEFA Champions League.

Estevao, who the Blues signed from Palmeiras for £29m, stole the show against Ajax, lifting supporters from their seats whenever he got on the ball. Shortly before the break, he opened his account on the European stage, beating Remko Pasveer from 12 yards.

After the game, Maresca was quizzed on the teenage sensation's development. On TNT Sports, the Chelsea boss said: "It’s exciting to see him.

"The good thing about Estevao, sometimes with young players we are worried, because they have one good game and they think they are already [at the] top. Estavao, he’s playing well but he’s polite, he’s humble, he wants to learn.
