Eintracht Frankfurt paid a classy tribute to Diogo Jota ahead of their Champions League clash with Liverpool on Wednesday night. The Portuguese passed away tragically back at the start of July, along with his brother Andre Silva, after they were killed in a car crashed when travelling across Spain.

The Reds have paid a number of emotional tributes to Jota since he passed away, including retiring his number 20 shirt. He also remains on their squad list, and is named both on the squad profiles on their website and on the back of their matchday programme at every home game as a result.

Frankfurt paid their own tribute to Jota ahead of hosting Liverpool, when the two sides were announced ahead of kick-off at the Deutsche Bank Park.

Slot named 10 substitutes for the trip to Germany. And when the names of his reserves players were put up on the TV screens in Germany, Frankfurt also included '20 Diogo Jota' on the squad list.

The Portugusese's name was shown in turquoise, while Liverpool's substitutes - which included Mohamed Salah - were instead written in white.
