Benjamin Sesko has gotten his career at Manchester United off to a flying start.

Signed from RB Leipzig in a deal worth €85m, including add-ons, Sesko has already scored two goals in the Premier League. More importantly, the Slovenian has excellently dealt with the Premier League’s physicality.

Over the weekend, Sesko came off the bench at Liverpool and impressed with his hold-up play, as his towering presence came in handy against Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate.

However, Ruben Amorim’s decision to not start Sesko at Anfield underlines United could do with another striker, given the 22-year-old’s limited experience. 

Manchester United want to sign Lewandowski

According to the Daily Star, Robert Lewandowski has emerged as a “hugely attractive” target for United, who could sign him next summer.

It is suggested Amorim is interested in signing the Barcelona talisman on a free transfer.

The 37-year-old is nearing the end of his contract at Camp Nou, and will become a free agent at the end of the campaign should Barca decide against exercising an option to extend his stay by a further 12 months.
