Chelsea will be looking to continue their winning run as they prepare to face Ajax in the Champions League. The Blues have emerged victorious from their last three games and will have their eyes set on climbing the Champions League table.

The reigning Club World Cup and Europa Conference League champions suffered a setback in their opening match against Bayern Munich, losing 3-1 in Germany last month. However, Enzo Maresca’s side got their Champions League campaign back on track against Benfica.

An early own goal from Richard Rios proved enough to settle the tie as newly-appointed Benfica boss Jose Mourinho returned to Stamford Bridge in September. There was a late red card for Joao Pedro, with dismissals proving to be a recurring theme of Chelsea’s season so far, but the Blues successfully claimed three points.

That result has since been followed by uplifting wins over Liverpool and Nottingham Forest in the Premier League. Maresca will want to ensure his side continue building momentum against Ajax.
