Arsenal extended their strong run in the Champions League with a commanding 4-0 win over Atlético Madrid at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.

The match remained tight in the first half, but Mikel Arteta’s side took control after the break.

Gabriel Magalhães opened the scoring with a powerful header before playing a key part at the other end by blocking a goal-bound effort.

Gabriel Martinelli then added a second after a fine run from Myles Lewis-Skelly.

Viktor Gyökeres ended his goal drought with two well-taken finishes to seal the victory as Arsenal blew Atletico away with four goals in 20 minutes.

The result keeps Arsenal’s impressive European campaign on track, with the team showing balance and confidence in both attack and defence.

Had a few nervous moments. He rushed off his line and lost the ball, almost allowing Atlético to score. Fortunate that Alvarez’s long-range effort struck the bar.

Solid in defence and eager to push forward. His positioning and awareness were key in keeping Atlético pinned back.

Dealt with Sorloth comfortably. Calm and composed throughout, rarely put under pressure by the opposing striker.
