Frank Lampard and John Mousinho were involved in a touchline spat in the Championship clash between Portsmouth and Coventry City.

Midway through the first half at Fratton Park, there was a disagreement between the two bosses after hosts Pompey insisted they should have been awarded a penalty.

Referee Gavin Ward did not point to the spot and the score remained 0-0 on the south coast.

However, discussion over the incident continued between the two managers and they were spotted arguing.

Portsmouth boss Mousinho appeared to be complaining to fourth official Stephen Martin, and Coventry manager Lampard bit back.

They were both separated by Martin, with reporters at the ground saying it was a lengthy spat.

Pompey were then dealt another blow minutes later as Brandon Thomas-Asante fired Coventry ahead in the 30th minute.
