Journalist Pete O’Rourke has made a confident prediction about the future of Tottenham Hotspur target Antoine Semenyo.

Bournemouth are currently sitting joint-third in the Premier League table, and one of the main reasons for that is the Ghana international, who has six goals and three assists to his name so far.

Reports over recent weeks have indicated that Spurs have moved to pole position in the race for Semenyo, and are looking to tie up a deal for the winger in January.

Some sources have suggested that Bouremouth want £80m for the Tottenham target, but it recently emerged that Semenyo has an undisclosed release clause in his contract.

Despite the existence of the release clause in the winger’s contract, Pete O’Rourke has claimed that the 25-year-old is not likely to leave the Vitality Stadium mid-season.

He suggested that Tottenham Hotspur would have to wait until next summer to sign the winger and asserted that Thomas Frank’s men will have no shortage of competition for the player.
