Joshua Zirkzee has praised Harry Maguire after the Manchester United defender scored the winner in the Premier League victory against Liverpool.

Ruben Amorim’s side won back-to-back games for the first time under his tenure on Sunday afternoon, with the Red Devils prevailing against Arne Slot’s Liverpool side.

Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring controversially before Liverpool responded through Cody Gakpo in the 78th minute.

But, as he often is, Harry Maguire was the hero, scoring yet another late winner in a Manchester United shirt.

After the fixture’s conclusion, Maguire took to Instagram to send a heartfelt message to Manchester United supporters. He wrote: “I love this club.”

The comments section was filled with adoring fans, English footballers, and Manchester United teammates, including Joshua Zirkzee, who wrote: “On fire H.”
