Mohamed Salah failed to score in another Premier League game for Liverpool on Sunday as they suffered defeat against Manchester United.

The Reds lost for a fourth consecutive match, with Arne Slot entering a certified crisis period at Anfield.

In the middle of that is Salah, who has scored only two Premier League goals in eight matches, and none from open play since the first game of the campaign.

It is not only the Egyptian’s output which appears to have dropped off, however. His all-round play is suffering as Liverpool attempt to find the best formation to utilise their attacking talent.

That was clear again on Sunday, with Salah missing a couple of promising openings to score for the Reds.

As a United legend, Gary Neville was on the right side of Salah’s disappointing display on Sunday, and spoke out to pinpoint on ‘surprising’ aspect of the Liverpool winger’s current decline.
