According to various sources, Thomas Frank is keen on adding a centre-back to his squad in January, and it appears the Lilywhites have turned their attention to an Argentine youngster.

Spurs have reportedly expressed an interest in River Plate starlet Lautaro Rivero, who is making waves back in his home country.

It was revealed a couple of days ago that Tottenham may face competition from Man City for the 21-year-old centre-back, and it has now emerged that more clubs have entered the race.

According to a new report by El Intransigente, Spurs and Man City have now been joined by Juventus, RB Leipzig and Atletico Madrid in the race for the River Plate man.

It is claimed that all of these clubs are now monitoring the centre-back’s situation closely ahead of the January window. It is suggested that they all have the intention of starting negotiations with River Plate over the youngster soon.
