Burnley manager Scott Parker got so caught up in the celebrations after his team scored against Leeds United that he ended up injuring himself.

The Clarets ran out 2-0 winners at Turf Moor in what was a tight Premier League encounter. Leeds dominated possession and created the better chances, but clinical finishes from Lesley Ugochukwu and Loum Tchaouna sealed all three points for the home side.

The victory was a significant one for Burnley against their fellow newly-promoted rivals. It lifted them out of the relegation zone and to within a point of Leeds.

Speaking after the match, Parker admitted he got a little carried away after his team’s second goal.

“I’ve done my knee from celebrating,” he told Burnley’s official YouTube channel (via Burnley Express ). “It was definitely worth it. I think I would have taken more than just an injury to my knee for three points and the performance we got — and certainly the goal Loum produced.
