For years, Tottenham supporters have called for the club to immortalise its greatest icons around the stadium in statue form, and it now seems that wish might finally become reality.

Tottenham Hotspur has long maintained a no-statue policy outside the stadium, despite boasting a rich history filled with legendary figures who have worn the shirt with pride.

While several other Premier League clubs have chosen to celebrate their greats with statues or commemorative pieces, Spurs have resisted the trend, instead opting for a more minimalist approach to honouring their past.

Earlier this season, however, there was a shift in tone. The club reinstalled the iconic Bill Nicholson Gates, a move that delighted fans who saw it as a long-overdue nod to one of the club’s most revered figures.

In a recent meeting with supporters, Tottenham CEO Vinai Venkatesham has now confirmed that the club is working on plans to introduce statues for some of its most celebrated figures.

Venkatesham revealed that while the idea is still in development, discussions have begun with the club’s Fan Advisory Board to determine the best locations and long-term vision for the project.
