Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers is once again being linked with interest from other clubs ahead of the January transfer window.

The attacking midfielder was a reported target for the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal in the summer following an impressive campaign in which he scored 14 goals and provided 16 assists under Unai Emery.

And now, according to CaughtOffside, Chelsea are once again leading the chase for the 23-year-old amid claims that Villa have set an asking price of around £80million which, says the report, is a “figure that tests the interest and financial muscle of both Premier League giants and top European sides.”

It further states that: “Sources close to the player’s situation have informed CaughtOffside that Chelsea are currently seen as the frontrunners in the race to sign Rogers. The London club have identified him as a key target in their 2026 squad planning, aiming to reinforce their attacking midfield options.”
