Manchester United are eyeing a sensational £60m swoop for Crystal Palace's midfield sensation Adam Wharton. United boss Ruben Amorim has been closely monitoring his progress and is said to be an ardent admirer. Wharton, who has blossomed into one of England's most promising talents, joined Palace from Blackburn in 2024 for a transfer fee of £18million.

Since then, he has played a pivotal role in ushering in a golden era for Palace under the stewardship of Oliver Glasner, contributing significantly to their FA Cup victory and securing European qualification. With the anticipated departure of Kobbie Mainoo and Casemiro from Old Trafford, Amorim is keen to bolster his midfield options next summer.

He is convinced that Wharton possesses the technical prowess to make a significant impact at United. Palace have shown a willingness to part ways with their star players, provided the price is right.

United are confident that a tempting offer of around £60m could be enough to bring Wharton to Old Trafford next summer.

Wharton, who has earned a single cap for England, was a surprise addition to the squad that reached the final of Euro 2024.
