At the start of this season many believed this weekend’s clash would be a relegation thriller, but London City Lionesses have been a refreshing surprise to start the campaign.

Through five games so far the newly-promoted team have proved that they can do battle with the best clubs in England.

Despite losing twice to start the season, Jocelyn Prêcheur’s side have won two of their last three games. Their latest win came last weekend in a narrow victory at home against Liverpool although the winner was controversial.
