Liverpool have been well below par over the last few weeks.

In fact, they’ve performed below the standards expected of them since the start of the season.

However, due to the sheer number of late goals that they scored at the start of the campaign, their poor performances were masked.

Of course, some players, such as Dominik Szoboszlai, were in decent form, but even he has managed to lose his mojo in the last couple of games.

A couple of weeks ago, Szoboszlai was being dubbed a “revelation” by Jamie Carragher.

Now, however, things seem to have taken a 180-degree turn with the Hungarian performing well below his usual standards.

He has been played across most areas of the pitch this season, and although he did well at right-back at the start of the term, Tuesday’s game against Galatasaray proved that it wasn’t a worthwhile experiment.

And, while speaking on the Official Liverpool FC Podcast, Phil Thompson gave an insight into an area of Szoboszlai’s game that he felt rather “frustrated” by.
