Lawrence Moten Dies at Age 53, Syracuse MCBB's All-Time Leading Scorer

Syracuse basketball legend Lawrence Moten died Tuesday at age 53, his daughter Lawrencia confirmed to Syracuse.com's Mike Waters.
Moten set the all-time scoring record for Syracuse by racking up 3,334 career points for the program from 1991 to 1995.
He played in the NBA from 1995 to 1998 for the then-Vancouver Grizzlies and Washington Wizards, and worked with youth programs in Syracuse schools after his playing career.
Moten had been hired as basketball general manager for the Washington D.C. public charter school Digital Pioneers Academy in June.
