Liverpool are reportedly confident of sealing another major signing in the summer transfer window after agreeing a club record deal for Florian Wirtz. The Bayer Leverkusen star is set to head to Anfield next week for an initial £100million fee, with the Reds having beaten the likes of Manchester City and Bayern Munich to his signature.

The transfer cannot officially go through until tomorrow (Monday) when the window reopens. However, with all parties in agreement, the 22-year-old is expected to be officially unveiled early in the week. Arne Slot will then turn his attention to bringing another major addition to Merseyside.

According to Sky Germany, club chiefs are ‘100 per cent convinced’ that the transfer of Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez will also go through in the next few days. Terms are said to have been verbally agreed upon between Liverpool and the Hungarian left-back, with just the formalities to go through and a fee to be agreed with Bournemouth.

Kerkez, 21, will seemingly have to wait until Wirtz is officially signed and presented to fans. He then looks certain to become Slot’s fourth capture of the summer, with Valencia keeper Giorgi Mamardashvili...
